The Center for Community Literacy Staff Bios

CLC Assistant Director Janelle Adsit published her first book in first grade. The cover was made of wallpaper and cardboard. She loves to write everything but bios.

This is Janelle's first year in the Communication Development program. She graduated from C.S.U. with a B.A. in Liberal Arts in Spring 2007. She is slowly working her way up to a specialization, but for now, she is pursuing anything that looks interesting. She is in the Women's Studies and College Teaching certificate programs. After graduation, she hopes to get an MFA in poetry.

The CLC is one of the three centers Janelle is a part of this semester; she works in the Center for Literary Publishing and the Writing Center too. Janelle is glad to be learning more about nonprofit administration and alternative literacy models this semester at the CLC. She wants to help create the space for individuals to explore and expand their literacies.
