The Center for Community Literacy Former Intern Bios

Former CLC Volunteer Holly Mendel graduated with a B.A. in Creative Writing from Colorado State University in 2003. After working for two years at a public relations firm in Seattle, she decided to return to "Fort Fun" in pursuit of a master degree and 300 days of sunshine a year.

After finishing her masters degree coursework, Holly moved to the city and is currently teaching Language Arts at the secondary level. She is greatly enjoying her first year teaching and the long, long, long hours that come with it. (She is yawning in great exhaustion as we speak, but with a smile on her face.)
